My concern is with booking service appointments. There are too few replacement cars available, so I am always offered an all day appointment. Why can't a simple time slot of 2 or 3 hours be offered to avoid long waits or costly taxi rides??

My car was booked in for a safety recall 3 weeks prior to my appointment. Dropped the car off , only to get a phone call 1 hour later to say that the component wasn't even in stock! I had to get a taxi to and from BMW for absolutely nothing!

The Service advisor (Anne Marie?) was lovely but due to staffing issues the car took a lot longer than I was initially told. I was offered a taxi into Cardiff but I would have rathered the car be done on time.

It took a little more time than i would expect to get the car into the 'holding area' as only a single lane was in use. That was frustrating. A 90 minute drop off and wait time was nearer 180 minutes despite no additional work being required.

I left my car at 7:30am and I was supposed to collect it the same day but had to call for feedback around 15:00hrs and was told that they will let me know but to no avail. My car slept there and the problem I had taken it for wasn't resolved.

My car also had an MOT and was checked for a drive train fault but it was returned with a scratch on the door sill plate. I guess someone scraped it whilst getting in or out of the car. Someone did check but hasn't been back in touch yet

MOT was failed even though passed previous year as exactly same situation. Misleading information then provided for reason and an almost £1000 bill, fortunately I spotted error. MOT tester needs retraining, it's not "obvious" to most people.
